Chef Jamie Oliver and his wife, Jools, had their third daughter on April 3, 2009, and, like her two older sisters, she has a flower middle name, plus the “bonus” of two middle names. Petal Blossom Rainbow has sisters named Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo. Congratulations to the flowery family!
Golf star Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin, welcomed their second child on Feb. 8. It’s a boy! His name is Charlie Axel Woods. The couple hasn’t yet shared how they chose the middle name Axel, but it’s a name that has been gaining in popularity in recent years. Charlie Axel joins big sister Sam Alexis. (Not Charles and not Samantha; the Woods family goes straight to the nicknames!)
Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin and his wife, Linzi, were creative with the choice of names for their baby boy born Jan. 26, 2009. He’s named Dreavyn Kingslee Martin. The couple, who is in their early 20s, met in high school. Dreavyn is their first child. They haven’t said how they chose the name, but Kingslee has been used as a first name for both boys and girls, though it is more commonly a surname. (Kingsley, with a Y, is more commonly used for boys, and has Old English roots.)
